Project Management: Strategic Project Management
Project Management Assessment (CMMI®, PMBOK®)
To gain objective insight into your project management processes, an assessment is usually recommended before undertaking any changes in your project environment. The assessment will help you identify the appropriate and best business practices to implement in order to:
- increase the capacity of project delivery by decreasing portfolio and/or deadline overrunning;
- increase the level of customer satisfaction;
- encourage the inherent business culture to migrate from operational management to project management;
- foster sound and efficient project management within the enterprise.
The approach we use to assess your project management practices is based on the Capability Maturity Model (CMM) of the Software Engineering Institute (SEI), which consists of the following stages:
- evaluation of the enterprise's management environment in order to assess the business culture within, as well and the degree of knowledge pertaining to adequate project management;
- evaluation of the tools and techniques used in project management;
- evaluation of the factors determining the degree of human resource experience and capacity for adaptation;
- recommendation, specifying the solutions for improvement;
- development of a realistic implementation strategy in order to ensure short-term benefits and ROI.
